- Utility bill (e.g. an electricity bill)
- Bank statement (from a registered bank)
- Municipal rates and taxes invoice
- Mortgage statement
- Telkom / cellular account
- A payslip or salary advice
- Recent correspondence from a body corporate or share block association
- Two retail accounts (e.g. Edgars and Foschini)
Documentation that may not be older than 12 months:
- Recent lease or rental agreement (valid – meaning current and unexpired)
- Recent SARS return / IRP5
- Valid television licence documentation
- Valid motor vehicle licence documentation
- Recent long-term or short-term insurance policy
